It was a glorious day in Palma and the 113-strong fleet enjoyed excellent conditions. Despite a short-lived postponement ashore earlier in the morning, the breeze came in right as expected at 10 knots and reached up to 18 late in the afternoon. The 30-degree shift that took place in the first race made tacticians work harder.

Blue Nights, the Finnish yacht owned by Tea Ekengren-Sauren wasn’t able to maintain her leadership of the Swan 45 Class after an OCS in the day’s second race.

As a result, Codecasa and Battistela’s Swan 45, Jeroboam Ca’Nova, is now first while Vittorio Ruggiero’s TalJ is lying second.

The podium is entirely Italian, with Danilo Salsi’s DSK-Comifin in third place. Still, the best performer today was Grant Gordon and Klaus Diederichs’ Fever with a 3rd and a 1st, but yesterday’s results didn’t allow her to grab the top spot.

1 Jeroboam Ca’Nova, Codecasa/ Battistella, 5-2-4-4, 15 points
2 Talj, Vittorio Ruggiero, 6-3-1-7, 17 points
3 DSK-Comifin, Danilo Salsi, 2-5-6-5, 18 points
4 Fever, Klaus DiedErichs/G Gordon, 4-14-3-1, 22 points
5 No Limits, RW Bol, 9-6-5-2, 22 points
